At the moment
the work I am doing is splitted in 3 areas:
- Cultur- and Eventmanagement, Advertisement, Public Relation, Printed Press Work
and Internetmarketing as registered Salesman, as head of my company
"m wie mayer e.K."
- Independant Tutor, Seminarguide and free working Member
at various universities, belonging to the national center of political
education and the chamber of industrie and trade in the areas photografie, Digitale makeover
and presentation, rhetorik, moderation and visualising
- Indepedant artworking in the areas photographie and media - installations,
freeworking member at "Radio Fips Göppingen"
At the moment the classes and seminar area are taking the most time effort
with a share of about 60 %, and I keep forcing in it.
I was born
in Oktober 1957 in the Pfalz and since 1959 I am living in Göppingen.
Over the years I made several business trips to Berlin, Schwenningen
and Nürnberg.
Photographie und Film making
have been my hobbies since 1969. The Foto-Club at school gave me
my first impressions and foundation. Beginning with black & white we moved on to colour,
from photographie we moved on to film making - first it was Super8, then 16mm and in 1980 manly
Video.
With helping out on several amateur projects and short movies
(we won several prizes at Festivals) I learned a whole lot about
production, directing work, cutting and working with the various camera angles.
In 1985 I started working in small movie productions.
In 1987 I began working as a free professional.
I worked in several adverisement agencies and movie productions as camera man,
cutter and was in charge of the production. At some time I even had my own
camera- and cutting equipment. With these I made many presentations and small advertisement movies
for the production firms.
1988 started my enthusiasm with the 3D-Fotographie
, which over the time got me further and further away from the video technic. After
a couple of first tries with a "normal" camera and a special
shifting technique, I finally decided to buy me a very expensive special edition camera
produced by RBT. Up until today I am still working with it.
With time passing I added two 3D projectors, 9 Kodak slide projectors
and special 3D-projection screens to my equipment.
Since 2001 I am also working in the art area,
including photographie and projection. This work I showed on several occasions such as
exhibitions, installations and other performances.
Travels
having my 3D camera by my side was the logical conclusion
.
My very first trip, that lastet one week, took me to Ireland
to try out my new 3D camera. Later on the trips lastet between 4 to 6 weeks. All together
I travelled about 10.000 miles criss cross the "green island", not just to get the highlights together
but also to get to know the people, the land and all the little details and to put together a 3D slideshow.
My second big adventure took place in Egypt in 1995.
Just like in all my trips before, I didn´t book all inclusive, nor did I travel with a
tourist party. After a few more trips the 3D production "Egypt - 5000 years of art,
mystic and legends" arose, which was first show in 2001 at the Arabian Nights event.
My new destination for a 3D show took me to Namibia.
This destination did not come from out of the blue, as it was more by the inspiration
of a very long friendship with Edgar Hälbich, a Namibian journalist, who is now
living in Göpingen. With his support besides the 3D shows, there are also a book project
and other accompaning events to come.
3D-Slide-Shows
became the new claimed goal of my passion in photographing.
Several 3D productions for fairs and exhibitions
in 1994 after various visits to the "green island" lead to my first self produced
3D-Irland-Slideshow named "Irland pur". To begin we started with 3D impression without lyrics
or impressions underlined by live music. Later on we developed shows with live spoken
commentary, by live musicians or we took in bands that would underline the whole event and accompanied it.
In 1996 we made our first music production working close together
with the Irish Folk Band GARIFIN from Hamburg. Falk-Andreas Eckhardt
composed and arranged the songs the way I prescribed it and wanted the lyrics to be
- absolutely unique for the planned show.

The music was published as "CELTIC VIEW".
Up to nowadays you can get it at your music store or at AMAZON.de in the internet
(
A few listening samples).
With this, specially for the show produced music evolved in 1996
out of the relativly simple slide show a new 3D-multi-visionshow
with commentary and lyric text passages. With this new show
I traveled criss cross Germany (even up to the far north city of Nordenham). Very often with
a Irish-Folk-Band concert that followed. Additionally I had whiskey, brown bread and salmon
for the culunary aspects in my magic back pack.
In 1999 we started the production of the new show.
The subject was Egypt, and it was first shown 2001 in Göppingen as frame program
of an Arabian Night with 9 projectors, throwing their pictures at 3 big screens, belly dancing,
people telling tales and fairytales as also Falaffel and tea coming out of
Samowar. From there on out all presentations have been concepted as
"Events" - with belly dancing, fairytellers, tea, waterpipes
and Falaffel or as a company event including expenditurable catering.

My professional career
started in precision engineering through my education as watch maker
in Göppingen.
After finishing my education I went to Berlin for 3 years.
Then I visited the master craftsman school in
Schwenningen. In 1980 I was the youngest watch maker in Germany, that
made his master craftsman degree. After 12 years being an independant owner of a
jewlery store, I started working as a secure employed branch leader
in Nürnberg and real estate agent in Göppingen.
With me taking on the job as product manager for audio - visual
products ( slide projectors, screens and technical control pannels ) at the Comm-Tec Company
in Uhingen, it built the bridge to photographie and projection.
Out of the "side job" productions and shows
(look up under photographie) evolved the first main job theme events
and company presentations. Over the time they more and more tended towards
organizing concerts, festivals, music-
and culture nights, city faires etc. Parallel to the above
I started teaching the first courses on digital photografie, picture adaptation
and presentation. I also work as Co-Trainer in the subjects moderation und visualisation.
Nowadays this takes up to about 60% of my work.
In the future
next to the Namibia production I will of course carry on giving courses
and seminars at the universities.
In 2006/2007 there will be a one year study course named "digital photographie"
at the universities in Göppingen and Kirchheim. In 2007 we are planing on a
3-day photo inquiery and in 2008 we focus on a photo trip
to Namibia. With this in mind and being responsible for the route and the smooth expiry
I would like to travel for a few weeks through Namibia this spring and
also start right away with the production of a 3D show about the land.
The first pictures that I will take there will already be used for the promotion work
for the university trip in the spring of 2008.
With the photos out of the university phototrip, I could put together
a first version which would be at my disposal by 2008 for
trade faires, promotion, meetings and events.
Taking additional trips in all seasons, I could close up this production
by the year 2009.
The main goal of course is an "Africa event"
- I am talking about a 3D-slideshow on 3 screens that measure up to at least 12 x 3
meters and "Feeling" and frame program such as live music, art, wine
and culinary treats.
Besides the very big events, I am also working
on a smaller 3D-set up for presentations with 4 projectors
up on a screen that fits smaller locations in schools
and other educational facilities.
The side by side planned book with many pictures
in 3D, also serves as advertisement for the events and will also
be sold on the presentations.
The photo trip by the university of Kirchheim can also be used
for other educational facilities or for readers trips in daily newspapers.
